Holi Gift For students: In an important decision just before the holi Festival, the uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi adityanath has increased scholarship amount for students studying in class 9th and 10th across the state. This decision is expected to benefit around 38 lakhs students. In this decision the government will help many families by reducing the financial burden of education.

What are the new provision made by the Uttar Pradesh government
- Under this announcement the scholarship amount for students of class 9th and 10th who are from other backward classes has been increased.
- Earlier the scholarship was ₹2,250 rupees per year but now it increases to ₹3000 per year which means extra 750 rupees will be added.
- This will help the students in many ways as students can buy their stationery, can spend it on other expenses.
- Along with the scholarship increase, the annual limit of the parents to be eligible for this benefit is also raised.
- Previously in this scholarship only those kids can apply whose family income was upto 2 lakh per year, but now the limit has been increased it has become 2.5 lakh per year.
- This change now allows more families to qualify for the scholarship scheme.
Who will benefit of this scheme
According to this new rule about 38 lakh students from class 9th and Class 10, Uttar Pradesh will benefit from this increased scholarship amount.
Now the focus is particularly on the students of OBC category who will now get the same scholarship benefit as a student from other Reserve categories.
