• The NEET will continue to be conducted as a single NET for MBBS/BDS admissions besides the rumors which are prevailing on all over the internet that it may be replaced with a new format of examination. But till now NTA has given the confirmation about the old exam routine.
• The NMC or National Medical Commission has announced a significant rule change.
• The students will no longer have the option to select their exam cities, and the decision will be done by the agency, NTA.
• The exam centers allotted to the students will be based on the addresses listed on their Aadhar cards.
• The NMC has increased in the number of MBBS seats and also has begun expanding the availability of MBBS seats by increasing the intake capacity and establishing new medical colleges.
• NEET will be applicable to other various allied and healthcare UG programs instead of offering only MBBS/BDS from the academic year 2026-27.
• The NEET 2026 new policy is anticipated to be announced in early February which will contain the details regarding how students having equal scores will be ranked.

NEET UG Eligibility 2026

There are certain eligibility requirement which have to be fulfilled by the students if they want to appear in the examination.

• Neet Age Limit: The students must have to 17 years of old by the end of 2026.
• Nationality: The applicants must have to be the citizen of India, can be a NRI or can belong to Overseas of India, or can be a foreign national or be a person of Indian origin.
• Education: The applicants must have completed 10+2 examination, if they want to appear.
• They must have studied PCB along with English in their higher secondary education.
• They must have been passed securing at least 50% in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Minimum grade required is 40% overall.

How to Apply for NEET UG 2026?

• At first they have to visit the official website i.e. neet.nta.nic.in or exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
• Then after visiting they have to register themselves by clicking on the NEET 2026 New Registration to create their application number. They have to enter their mobile number and set the password.
• After all of this, they have to enter their personal information like name, Father’s name, DOB, roll number, Educational background, preferred exam centers etc. whatever asked there.
• After that upload the necessary documents like Photograph, Signature, thumb impression etc. in scanned or required format.
• After finishing the uploading part, they have to review and recheck the NEET UG 2026 application form and then have to pay the application fee.
• Pay the fee online by using UPI, Net Banking or via Debit and Credit card.
• After paying the fee, your NEET UG 2026 application process will be complete. Now you have to download the form and keep a copy with yourself.

NEET 2026 Correction Window

The NTA will make the NEET 2026 application form correction facility available between the period of March 10 and March 12, 2026. At this time, registered candidates would be in a position to update desired details to their application forms using their logins. The window will not take any correction requests after it is closed.
