The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan gives preference to children in the school who have had numerous transfers in the last seven years and to children whose parents are central government employees, military, police, or paramilitary personnel.
This kv school also favors employees of the state government and medical facilities. The reservation quotas are 25 percent under the RTE, 15 percent among Scheduled Castes, 7.5 percent among Scheduled Tribes, 27 per cent among OBC/NCL, 3 percent among people with disabilities and two seats per class among children who are single girls.

KVS Admission Fees
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is providing education at CBSE level at a comparatively low cost. Prices of all classes are very low. Girls (especially SC/ST students) get a discount on tuition in Classes 9 and 12, and boys are subjected to tuition.
