Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the deadline of online registration of Group D posts up to March 9, 2026. Previously, the deadline used to be March 2. Interested candidates are able to use the RRB Group D application link which is available on the official sites of respective regional RRBs.
The deadline to submit the RRB Group D application fee is changed to March 11, 2026, instead of the previous March 4, 2026. The correction period of the application details will now be maintained between March 12-21, 2026. This facility had been planned before, between March 5, 2026 and March 14, 2026. This recruitment exercise will be used to fill 22,195 Group D vacancies in the organisation.

Application Fee Details
General Candidates: 500 (400 refundable with CBT, less bank fee)
SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, EBC: 250 (refundable on the appearance of the CBT)
Refund of the application/exam fee would only be given to candidates that appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
Applicants should also ensure that they do their registration in time to prevent problems of time.
Selection process
The selection is done through a written examination which is a single-stage Computer-Based test (CBT). The test shall take 90 minutes and will comprise 100 questions. All questions are rated with one mark. The board will deduce one-third of a mark on the wrong response.
A second-stage CBT might be administered by the Railway Administration in case of necessity. In this eventuality, it can even consider a first- stage CBT as a qualification exam to filter the applicants to the second level. RRB group D selection process involve:

How to apply online to RRB Group D 2026?
The applicants are also urged to confirm their qualifications in terms of age, education and medical standard before applying to the RRB Group D jobs. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has declared the recruitment of Group D jobs in the year 2026, where the candidates must observe the entire online recruitment process and the specifics are as under:
Registration: Open the webpage of the Railway Recruitment Board and choose the RRB region of your state or region. Use the search and find the link with the title CEN-09/2025 Group D (Level-1) Recruitment. Start with registration: firstly, you need to enter such details as your name, date of birth, email, and mobile number. With a successful registration, a registration ID and password will be sent to you through email or SMS.
Filling of application form: Login to the railway application portal using your registration id and password. Complete the personal, educational and contact details and fill them properly. Make sure that all the information is right to prevent any discrepancy during the selection process.
Upload Documents: Get scanned copies of photographs, Signature, educational certificate and category certificate according to the mentioned format and size and upload all the documents in the corresponding fields of the application form. Documents Details:

Submit Application Fee: To be eligible to appear in the exam, the candidates applying to Railway Group D (Level 1) will be required to pay the application fee as indicated. The charge will be offered by means of internet banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI.
To the candidates of SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC). Rs. 250/-
For all other candidates Rs. 500/-
Note- To all other applicants, a deposit of 500 of the fees will be refunded on attendance in the CBT.
In the cases of SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backed Class (EBC) a full refund of the fees is to be returned.
Upon successful payment, record the number of the transaction reference in future.
Check and fill RRB Group D Online Form: Carefully go through all the information typed in and documentations posted to verify accuracy. On confirmation, the RRB Group D Online Form must be submitted before the final date i.e. 20th February 2026 (11:59 pm). Once it is submitted a confirmation page will be produced. Print the confirmation page and save it.
RRB Group D Required Documents
In the case of the RRB Group D Application, the candidate should have the following documents/details:
- Mobile Number (OTP should be verified)

RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
Education Qualification- Candidates should have completed their 10 th education in a recognised school or its equivalent.
